Renee Schell, MA

Clubhouse Director

I have been with Frontier House since 1997. I started working here when I finished my Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Northern Colorado. My background is in Psychology and I have a Masters Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling. I worked as a Unit Leader in the Member Services Unit for almost 13 years before I became the Clubhouse Director. I have a wonderful husband and two energetic and loving boys. In my spare time, I enjoy scrapbooking, reading, camping, spending time with friends, and traveling. The Clubhouse has become my second home and family!

Hello everyone!

My name is  Nick Hansen.  I was born in Northwest Indiana and moved to Colorado in 1997. I attended the University of Northern Colorado where I graduated with my BS in Human Services. Starting in the fall, I will be pursuing my Master’s degree in Special Education. I have been married for the last ten years and have two amazing children! For the last few years, I worked as a Response Caseworker for the Weld County Department of Human Services.  While I enjoyed my time at Weld DHS, I am very excited to be back at the Frontier House.

Kitchen Unit Leader

ChrisGreetings Everyone,

My name is Chris Cassidy and I just joined the Frontier House team as the new Employment Specialist in the Clerical Unit two weeks ago. I previously served as a Peer Specialist in the North Range Crisis Center prior to making the transition. Before relocating to Colorado two years ago from the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania, I served as a Life Skills Counselor for the non-profit Independent Living Program called Valley Youth House. My undergraduate work was completed in 2009 at the University of Scranton where I focused on Psychology and Neuroscience. I have also been in competitive sports all my life and I now coach competitive ski racing and swimming and love everything related to sports and nutrition. Now, I look forward to the many opportunities I will have to contribute and all the wonderful folks I will surely meet along this new journey. Thank you and I can’t wait to meet you all.

Hello Everyone!

My name is Doreen “Dori” Baker, and I am the new Rehabilitation Counselor at Frontier House. I graduated from Colorado State University, in December 2014, with my Bachelor of Social Work Degree. I was born at Fort Carson, Colorado, as an Air Force brat, and I had the opportunity to travel throughout the United States. I moved to Greeley in 1985, to be with my very large family. I love music, art, nature, road trips, reading, sports, and people/children. I am honored to be working at Frontier House, and I am excited to meet everyone!

Trinity Oberndorf, MSW

Kitchen Unit Staff

Hi, My name is Trinity. I am the newest staff of the Kitchen Unit. I just finished my Master of Social Work degree from CSU. I hope to gain more Clubhouse Family during my time at Frontier House. The Clubhouse model and Colorado are both dear to my heart so Frontier House is a good fit. My favorite color varies between blue purple and green. My favorite food is noodles and any type of sauce. If I could be any animal it would be a big cat, probably a tiger, because they have really good camouflage (the reason was stolen from a colleague because I do not have a good reason, I just like big cats). I was asked to say something that I would like the Frontier House community to know. After much thought, I came up with the fact that I have not found anything as helpful and empowering as the Clubhouse model, not to say that it does not exist. But for me, I have found that the Clubhouse not only gives members hope, but also gives staff a place to let their humanity show. This is not typical of many mental health programs. However, the things with greater importance for you to know is that I love to go camping or be in the outdoors in any way.   I am so excited to be here. GET CLUBHOUSE!

My degree, from CSU, is in Counseling and Career Development with an emphasis on Community / Mental Health Counseling. I did my internship at Chinook Clubhouse in Boulder. I have also been in private practice. Employment is a big part of a person’s mental health and well-being, so I am happy to be here to help. What I appreciate most about Clubhouse is what a strong community it creates. I am happily partnered with Grant, and we have a family of animals: 2 dogs, a cat, a cockatiel and 2 chickens. Other interests I have include music (singing and piano), French language and travel, and construction and design. Let me know how I can help you!
